Art of the Baseline
If I want you to take me seriously, then we need a starting point.
A few weeks ago, when this project was born, I attended the last Residential for the year with my Cohort from University. We stayed at Hartington Hall in the Peak District. The focus was on coaching skills and examining our process. The module was called Evidence Based Practice. Essentially, the module introduces a way of folding in some of the more useful ideas out there. From this a discussion arose with Aled Oddy, from which this project was initiated.
As a picture is worth a thousand words, here's a short video of me ascending a rock at Stanage. I confess that I have never, until now climbed Gristone.
Currently, therefore I am gathering evidence from which to establish a quantifiable baseline and defining a set of metrics to observe visible change. All the Data will be published on Project Gwella.
This site will hold the record of all the stuff that's not really academic.
